The theme for this year's Grand Rising Summer Solstice Summit is "Àṣẹ," a powerful affirmation of life, energy, and collective power. This summit, created for Black, Brown, Latinx, and Indigenous peoples from around the world, celebrates our resilience and ability to thrive despite facing significant challenges. It is a virtual sacred space dedicated to communal healing, ritual, and celebration, fostering deep connection to our ancestors, the Earth, and each other.
In honor of the Summer Solstice, a time of abundance and beauty, we come together to honor the strength and wisdom that has carried us through and continues to guide us toward a future of collective flourishing. "Ase" signifies the power of life and the intentional creation of a future rooted in vitality and unity.
"Àṣẹ lo ń fi ọwọ́ ṣe." "It is Àṣẹ that empowers the hand to act."
This Yoruba proverb highlights that true power and success come from Àṣẹ, the energy that directs and manifests our actions into the world.
